It was a running joke that we had an remote employee from another state.   Not to confuse the person with local people, someone in the office mashed up their name with the state.   It stuck when describe that person to other people.

I was curious how many state names, first name mashups there are are there.    It could be first name + state name or vice versa.

I’d imagine I missed a whole lot, but here is my list:

• Jillinois (Jill + Illinois)
• Markansas (Mark + Arkansas)
• Adelaware (Adele + Delaware)
• Cindiana (Cindy + Indiana)
• Johio (Joe + Ohio)
